Digital Accessibility for Course Materials
Title II of the ADA
What is Title II?
In 2024, the Department of Justice updated Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This update mandates that all digital course content offered by public universities conform to accessibility industry standards by April 24, 2026.
As part of this requirement, all digital course content must conform to these standards. This requirement includes all materials in Canvas, even if your course is taught face-to-face. This webpage is being regularly updated and continues to add training sessions, videos, and guides on addressing the most pressing issues.
