DSST Exams
DSST exams
DSSTs, or DANTES Subject Standardized Tests, are college-level exams that allow students to earn college credit for knowledge they already possess. Originally developed for U.S. military personnel, these exams cover a wide range of subjects and are recognized by many colleges for fulfilling degree requirements, helping students save time and money on tuition.
To see what credits you can receive from your DSST exams, refer to our DSST Credit Chart for Kent State course credit. Note that DSST exams must be passed with the minimum score determined by the American Council on Education for college credit recommendations.
If you took DSST exams, your exam scores should be reported on your Joint Services Transcript (JST) or your Air University transcript. For more information about DSST exams and ordering score reports or transcripts, visit https://www.dantes.mil/dsst/.
