Poster Submissions - Aging Symposium

Please register for the symposium and e-mail the following information to spratt@kent.edu no later than October 1, 2015 at 5:00pm EST.  Earlier submission is recommended.  Note that the poster topics on all areas of aging research may be considered in addition to those pertaining to chronic illness self-management. You will receive notification if your poster has been accepted and further information from the Poster Chair in October. Also note that poster size is limited to 3’ x 4’.

For all submissions

  • Abstract Word Limit: 400 words/characters - must be written in English
  • Abstract Title: up to 15 words
  • Authors: up to 5 allowed
  • Institutions: name of institution only, no departments

​For Scientific Abstract

Abstract submissions will be limited to 400 words/characters.  Do not use brand names in the abstract.  Indicate grant funding information at the bottom of the abstract.

Title: The title should be brief (limited to 15 words or less).

Authors: The first and last names of the authors will be included in the author block.  Do not include degrees, as this affects online search functions.  Up to 5 authors can be listed.

Institutions: Institutions of all authors will be included.  Do not include departments.

Text: The abstract must be informative, including a statement of the study's specific PURPOSE, METHODS, summary of RESULTS, and CONCLUSION statement using these headings.  It is unsatisfactory to state, "The results will be discussed."

Abstracts of experimental studies must include data to substantiate the conclusions being drawn.  It is not satisfactory to simply describe what was found verbally in general terms.  The lack of inclusion of experimental data may result in the abstract being rejected.

The abstract must be written in English.

FOR CLINICAL CASE ABSTRACT

Abstract submissions will be limited to 400 words/characters.  Do not use brand names in the abstract.  Indicate grant funding information at the bottom of the abstract.

Title: The title should be brief (limited to 15 words or less).

Authors: The first and last names of the authors will be included in the author block.  Do not include degrees, as this affects online search functions.  Up to 5 authors can be listed.

Text: The abstract must be informative.  The first paragraph should outline the HISTORY of the case and the following paragraphs should list TEST AND RESULTS and TREATMENTS AND OUTCOMES.  It is unsatisfactory to state, "The results will be discussed."
