I am having trouble with my professor, what should I do?

We recommend you first contact your instructor and work with them to try to resolve the issue. If you have taken this step, but do not feel the issue has been resolved or you feel that you are being treated unfairly, contact the Department Chair of the department that oversees the course. If you need assistance identifying the Department Chair, contact the Undergraduate Academic Advising office at 330-672-2872.

What if I have a question and I cannot wait until the next available appointment date?

If you have an urgent question that cannot wait for a scheduled advising appointment, please call the advising office at 330-672-2872 or stop in to see us in Suite 202 in Crawford Hall. If there are Quick Question Advising hours that day, you can be added to the sign-up list. If there are no day of advising services, explain your situation to the receptionist. The undergraduate advising office staff will work with you to address your concerns.

How do I prepare to meet with an advisor?

To prepare for your advising appointment, complete the following steps:

  1. Review the roadmap for your major in the University Catalog.
  2. Read over your GPS Audit to determine what courses you still need  (See Flashline > Advising and GPS > GPS Audit and Plan). You may also use the B.B.A. University and Major Requirement sheets to identify what requirements you still need to complete.
  3. Review any previous GPS created by an advisor.
