Cleanroom-Based Semiconductor Manufacturing is an experiential learning, hands-on experience in a clean room environment. Technical learning will be complemented with guest speakers from the semiconductor industry and lessons in advanced manufacturing technologies.
Introduction to Semiconductor Manufacturing will introduce students to the fundamentals of microchip fabrication. This course will explore the steps in the manufacturing process. Students will learn relevant calculus, physics, and chemistry concepts in the course.
This 20-hour program offers hands-on experience and expert knowledge in semiconductor technology. Earn a prestigious Digital Badge from Kent State University upon completion and receive priority consideration for up to $5,000 in scholarship to attend one of two Semiconductor Exploration and Cleanroom and Manufacturing Technology Summer Institutes.
