Cleanroom-Based Semiconductor Manufacturing is an experiential learning, hands-on experience in a clean room environment. Technical learning will be complemented with guest speakers from the semiconductor industry​ and lessons in advanced manufacturing technologies.

Introduction to Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology

Introduction to Semiconductor Manufacturing will introduce students to the fundamentals of microchip fabrication. This course will explore the steps in the manufacturing process. Students will learn relevant calculus, physics, and chemistry concepts in the course.

Introduction to Semiconductor Devices and Cleanroom Safety

  • Dates offered: February 19 - May 17
  • Registration begins on JANUARY 16!
  • Cost: FREE

This 20-hour program offers hands-on experience and expert knowledge in semiconductor technology. Earn a prestigious Digital Badge from Kent State University upon completion and receive priority consideration for up to $5,000 in scholarship to attend one of two Semiconductor Exploration and Cleanroom and Manufacturing Technology Summer Institutes.

Join the Kent State University Bands Alumni Chapter for a performance with current students at the men's basketball game vs. Ohio University.

At this favorite annual event, alumni will team up with current Flasher Brass students for a pregame performance before tipoff as well as performances throughout the game.
