In a special meeting on Dec. 4, digital media production student Saida Lewis, was invited to meet with Kent State President Todd Diacon to discuss the creative inspiration for her winning design selected in a recent holiday card design competition. The competition, organized by Diacon, sought to find the best design for his annual New Year’s card, which is distributed to a distinguished group of alumni and donors. Katrina Terry, MS Clinical Epidemiology ‘23 Katrina Terry graduated from Kent State University with a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology in Spring 2023. During her last semester of graduate school at the College of Public Health, she had the opportunity to work with Dr. Salil Deo at the Northeast Ohio VA Healthcare System, Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center on a large data study examining how social determinants of health impact temporal trends in cardiovascular mortality over a 20-year time span.
