On Friday, April 5th, TransHum and the Translation Graduate Student Program hosted Kaleidoscopic Translation Studies Conference. The annual Gregory M. Shreve Lecture Series in Translation Studies presented Dr. Richard Watts (University of Washington), who gave the keynote address titled “Translators, Interpreters, and Other Fixers in Cultural Texts of the ‘Linguacene’”. Throughout the weekend, the program was packed with engaging workshops and conversations. The emerging student-artists of the B.A. studio art capstone course in the School of Art at Kent State University announce the opening of their group exhibition "Chroma Concepts" at the Design Innovation (DI) Hub Gallery.The exhibition will open Monday, April 14 and run through Friday, April 25, 2025. A closing reception will take place Friday, April 25 from 5-7 p.m. in the DI Hub on the Kent State University campus.   Third-year graduate students in Kent State's School of Theatre and Dance Abbie Hagen and Amy Allyson Ballew showcased their costume designs in the Emerging Creatives display at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) conference in Columbus this March.
