Why is Select Term already clicked on the Authorization Tab?
Select Term needs to be available so that your designee is able to look at the information that is term-based such as your schedule of classes, your grades and your student account.

If your designee has a question about the functionality of KSUview, they should first check the Designee FAQ's. If they have a question about your student information, remember: Your authorization is authorization to VIEW the item. KSUview does not give a designee the permission to discuss your educational record with a Kent State University official. If you would like your designee to be able to discuss the information you have authorized them to view, you need to also give them FERPA release access.
There is no automatic notification sent when you modify those items on the Authorization tab for your designee. You have the ability to click the "Send email to designee" icon and it will generate an email to your designee.
The History webpage displays the most recent activity including access to information items being granted, information items being disabled, and details of your designee's access to KSUview as well as the items the designee viewed. The most recent 40 items will be displayed.
Access KSUview either through the link in FlashLine within Student/Resources/Requests and Authorizations or by following the KSUview link at the bottom of the Student and Financial Aid menu. On the KSUview Management webpage click on the name of the designee to expand their information. Then click on the History tab to review the activity for that designee. The webpage will display the most recent activity including access to information items being granted, information items being disabled, and details of your designee's access to KSUview as well as the items the designee viewed.
Access to information can be removed in several ways. You can change the Stop Date on the Profile tab and /or you can remove all check marks on the "Authorization" tab. The designee will no longer see your name when they access KSUview.
The number of pages indicates the number of items of information you have authorized the designee to see. Each information item available is a webpage.
The lock is displayed until you click on the designee's name and select a relationship for the designee.
The functionality on the Authorization web page where you select the items that you want your designee to see saves your selection immediately upon each click. There is no save button. To view your activity, select the History tab to view the most recent actions and you should see that you selected the authorizations.
The unique identifier for the designee in KSUview is the email address. An email address can only be associated with one person.
