The Kent State University School of Art Collection and Galleries will present multiple exhibitions this spring that showcase student artwork. These exhibitions include the Student Annual (March 19 - May 1, 2021), 15 M.F.A Thesis Exhibitions (March 23 - April 2, 2021), and 20 B.F.A Thesis Exhibitions (April 6-8, 2021), all focusing on School of Art undergraduate and graduate students. The Kent State University community celebrates the heroic life of Professor Emeritus Edward W. Crosby, Ph.D., as his work in founding the Institute of African-American Affairs at Kent State and his contribution to the success of thousands of students inspired all who knew him. Crosby, known as the “father of Black History Month,” died on Feb. 10, at the age of 88. Dr. Rachael Blasiman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences. She teaches at the Salem campus, where she actively promotes undergraduate research and mentoring. Her research interests include memory, learning, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). She is currently serving as a Faculty Fellow in the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Kent State University at Tuscarawas student Jason Keller is doing what he loves—telling stories through photographs. Taking pictures since the age of 11, Keller is an award-winning photographer. He was recently honored by the Ohio News Media Association with the Best Feature Photo award. Keller captured the image of a Navy veteran saluting the crowd while riding in a military jeep during a parade in Sugarcreek, Ohio.
