Starting Friday, April 7, from 12:10–1 p.m., faculty and staff can enjoy a 50-minute lunchtime disc golf scramble on Kent State University's 18-hole disc golf course at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.  The program will start promptly at 12:10 p.m. in front of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. In order to perform necessary maintenance on the boilers, steam transmission systems and electrical distribution systems, Kent State University's Power Plant will be shut down for one week in May. Shutdown begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, and remains until start-up begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 21. As a result of the steam shutdown, most buildings located on campus will NOT have hot water to sinks and showers, etc. or air conditioning. Kent State University Dining Services has taken on the responsibility of creating a welcoming environment in the dining halls for Kent State’s international student body, which represents 109 countries.
