Following a national search, Kent State University has selected F. Jack Witt III as its new vice president for human resources. A Kent State alumnus, Witt currently serves as vice president of human resources and administration at Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio. Nine students from Kent State's College of Business recently met the President of Iceland, His Excellency Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, during their study abroad trip to Europe.  The group also met U.S. Ambassador Robert C. 64 Golden Flashes receive diplomas in spring 2016 The 2016 Kent State University Golden Flashes have shattered the record for the highest annual grade point average (GPA) in program history. They also broke the record for the most students with a perfect 4.0.  Collectively, this year’s graduates posted a 3.264 grade point average (GPA) and were responsible for a combined 22 Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season and tournament championships over the last four years.
