Kent State University’s College of Podiatric Medicine will celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2016. Located in Independence, Ohio, it is one of nine accredited podiatry colleges in the United States and is a four-year, graduate-level medical college, granting the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Kent State University at Salem recently welcomed representatives from the Davey Tree Expert Company who presented scholarships to horticulture students Anna Detoro and Pamela Sears. Presenting the scholarships from Davey Tree were Mark Noark, manager of recruiting and training, and R. J. Laverne, manager of education and training. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship from the Davey Arbor Grant Foundation. The company annually awards 50 such scholarships throughout the U.
