This log represents the most recent 60-day period. A list of fires that is older than 60 days is available within two business days upon request.

  Watch out, prehistoric animals! Students in a class led by Assistant Professor Michelle Bebber, Ph.D., are learning how to use the ancient weapons used by early hunters.  These students are practicing using an atlatl – an ancient device that allowed prehistoric hunters of lesser strength to throw spears with as much force and velocity as stronger hunters.  Hands-on learning opportunities like this expand the students' experience beyond the classroom and help them develop a deeper understanding of the topics they are studying. Want to see one of YOUR photos ...
