When you have met the prerequisites for your program and your internship application as been approved by your Internship Coordinator.

Students can schedule an appointment with a Career Advisor in Career Exploration and Development to go over resumes, cover letters, interviewing tips and job/internship search resources.
Students can also create a Handshake account and view hundreds of internships. Sort and filter your search by selecting "Internship" under job type.

The work hours required for an internship to be taken for academic credit vary depending on your major. You can see how many internship hours you need per course credit-hour by looking up you internship course in KSU's Schedule of Classes.
Prerequisites for each internship course are listed in the University Course Catalog. Follow the link to your program's list of courses webpage and find your internship course to view the prerequisites.
When you have between 50-70 credit hours. However, you can begin these discussions anytime.
