Biography
I am a primary care Nurse Practitioner and an acute and critical care Clinical Nurse Specialist with 16 years of advance practice experience. I earned my BSN ('02), MSN ('06) and NP certificate ('22) from Kent State University. I also hold certification as a neuroscience registered nurse and have completed a fellowship as an advanced neurovascular practitioner. This year I am beginning to work on my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP).
I began teaching formally with the College of Nursing in the fall of 2016, and I began coordinating the advanced pharmacology course in the spring of 2017. I assumed the concentration coordinator role for the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program in the fall of 2019.
My advanced practice career has mostly centered around neurology/neurosurgery, neurocritical care, trauma and general critical care. My areas of interest have neurodegenerative disease, stroke and traumatic brain injury, including concussion. Currently I practice in outpatient neurology.
I live in Cuyahoga Falls with my nearly 8-year-old son, 5-year-old daughter, and dog.
