ILCC 2016 CONFERENCE

26th international liquid crystal conference

July 31-August 5, 2016 at Kent State University.

The ILCC is the most comprehensive meeting covering the entire spectrum of science and technology of liquid crystals. The first ILCC was held in 1965 at Kent State University, in the year the Liquid Crystal Institute (LCI) was founded, and today, every ILCC is attended by nearly 1000 research scientists and students from all over the world. The 26th ILCC will be an opportunity to look back the history, discuss the current issues and challenges, and foresee the future of liquid crystals. You are welcome to join the community and present your latest discoveries and ideas.

The International Liquid Crystal Conference, ILCC, is the largest academic meeting in the field of liquid crystals, held biennially under the auspices of the International Liquid Crystal Society. The ILCC was started by Glenn H. Brown in 1965 at Kent State University, which hosted the ILCC five times so far. The ILCC 2016 is the sixth ILCC at Kent 20 years after the last conference in 1996, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the ILCC.
