Director, Kent Student Center & Involvement
Kent State University seeks a dynamic, experienced, and innovative leader to serve as its next Director of the Kent Student Center & Involvement (KSC&I) department. A member of the Division of Student Affairs, the Director of Kent Student Center & Involvement reports to the Assistant Vice President and serves as division leader providing overall leadership in a manner consistent with the university’s educational and co-curricular mission.
Consistently among Ohio’s top three largest public universities in terms of enrollment, Kent State University is ranked by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching among the nation’s 91 public higher-research universities. Kent State is the highest-ranking public university in Northern Ohio on the Top Public Schools and Best National Universities lists by U.S. News & World Report. The next director must be a servant leader who is committed to continued academic and cocurricular success, student well-being, and the personal development of every student while continuing the tradition of accomplishments. The director will provide leadership to outstanding administrators, support staff and most significantly the students while managing and providing oversight to Kent Student Center & Involvement. The director is responsible for a staff of approximately 14, including three direct reports and a student staff, and oversees a budget totaling approximately $4 million.
