Kent State’s cultural offerings have a reach far beyond the borders of Ohio. There’s always something new to experience at the many events held at Kent State, at off-campus locations year-round ​or virtually. The redesigned Arts & Cultural Experiences page provides an educational and entertaining window into the world of Kent State.  

The School of Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University has opened a new exhibition, the Biennial Faculty Show.

Kent State University at Stark’s Featured Speakers Series and the Stark Library’s Speaking of Books Author Series are partnering to present iconic Hollywood character actor Danny Trejo, who will speak at the Canton Palace Theatre on March 9.

The Kent State University Press publishes dozens of titles each year, from crime fiction and poetry to history and biographies, all of which make for great holiday gift giving. 

“We’ve had a stellar lineup of titles for 2022, including two books with KSU's Wick Poetry Center: ‘Dear Vaccine,’ which was featured on the PBS NewsHour, and ‘Sister Tongue,’ winner of the Wick Poetry Award,” said Julia Wiesenberg, marketing and sales manager for The Kent State University Press. 

"Dance '22: Shifting Landscapes" has performances Dec. 2-4 on the Kent Campus.

For a half-century, Kent State alumnus Tom Batiuk has penned the adventures of the students and staff of the fictional Westview High School, but now, "Funky Winkerbean" is coming to an end. Kent State Today sat down with Batiuk to talk about his life's journey as a comic strip writer.

Current and former faculty and alumni have featured art pieces in the new exhibit Now and Then: Seven Decades of Kent State Ceramics. The exhibit focuses on former faculty, notable alumni and a juried selection of alumni from the 70-year history of the Kent State Ceramics Program.
