Kent State students check out the 2023 Education Abroad Showcase

All this week, the Kent State University Kent Campus has offered a full slate of events in its 2023 Education Abroad Showcase, which serves as an introduction to the university’s education-abroad opportunities across the globe. Hosted by Kent State’s Office of Global Education, the theme for this week’s events is “Discover Boundless Horizons: Explore, Learn and Thrive Globally!” 

Emily Spencer, a senior from North Canton, Ohio, said her time in the Kigali Summer Institute gave her a deeper understanding of humanity.

When she signed up for the Kigali Summer Institute in Rwanda, Kent State University senior Emily Spencer, thought it would be a good training ground for humanitarian work she hopes to perform in the future. When she returned from the three-week course, she felt significantly changed. 

Four staff members from the National Police College in Rwanda have begun their studies as graduate students at Kent State University this semester.

Large numbers of international graduate students are boosting enrollment of both international students and graduate students.
