While all eyes were on the stage to meet the NFL stars of the future, scores of current and former Kent State students were nearby during the league’s recent draft, which was held in Cleveland on April 29-May 1, 2021.

America was watching as Kent State dominated Akron 69-35 to retain the coveted Wagon Wheel in the annual clash of football rivals at Dix Stadium.

ESPN carried the Nov. 17 game to a national prime time audience, which saw the Golden Flashes win their seventh straight game going back to last year while pushing their season record to 3-0.

Marching Golden Flashes

The College of the Arts and the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music are pleased to announce the launch of the “Marching Golden Flash Award.” This new scholarship opportunity will be available to all returning members of the Marching Golden Flashes as well as incoming Kent State students. It is open to students of any major starting in the fall 2020 season.
