Kent State Junior Jasmine McCulley Joins Team USA for World Twirling Championships

For most of her life, Kent State junior visual communication design major Jasmine McCulley, has built her identity around community, the arts and competition, whether through The Touch of Gold Twirlers or competitive baton twirling. Sixteen years after she first picked up a baton, she will represent Team USA this August in Paris at the IBTF World Competition.

Originally from Vaughan, Ontario, Emma Klein made the transition to Kent State University not only for academic excellence but also for personal growth and a collegiate sports experience. Now in her sophomore year, she is a part of the Honors College, a member of the Kent State Division I women’s soccer team, and is a member of Phi Delta Epsilon.

Kent State Men's Basketball (24-19) has punched their ticket to the 2026 National Invitation Tournament. The Golden Flashes will play on the road at Illinois State University on Wednesday, March 18. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. This following a strong season that saw the blue and gold reach the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinal.
