Visual Communication Design senior Julia Gray (Spring ’23) has been interested in design before she even knew what it was. “My family had an ongoing joke throughout my childhood that I ‘was born with paper in one hand and a pencil in the other,’” she says.

Audrey Ernst is an entrepreneur focused on the sweet things in life. Her passion for baking and sharing are what inspired her business, Audrey’s Baked Creations LLC, and since starting in 2019 she has grown a very authentic and successful brand.

Braedy Luxenburg is a multifaceted designer and he is making his mark on the fashion industry. From working with widely known artists to popular luxury brands to pursuing his own designs, Braedy has been involved with the industry at all levels.

StarAndia Johnson has a vision for her brand and she is making that vision known as she paves her way in the fashion world. Now as a graduate of Kent State, she is using what she learned to fulfill her mission of creativity with sustainable fashion by using produce to create unique pieces.

Catherine LaSpina has tackled a lot of challenges in her life and currently she is taking on the challenge of being an entrepreneur and doctor at the same time. While this balance between roles is no easy feat, Catherine knew she wanted to pursue these careers since being a child and was willing to do what it takes to reach these goals.

Luke Leyden has had a multitude of passions throughout his life, and has truly encompassed the entrepreneurial mindset by taking them to the next level with various business ideas. Although he flirted with the idea of an electronic kit business in middle school, it wasn’t until the Idea Olympics in 2020 that he seriously pursued this plan.
