Anna Huntsman

Anna Huntsman is a Content Creator in Kent State University’s Division of University Communications and Marketing (UCM). In this role, she produces compelling multimedia content, including audio packages and short-form vertical videos, geared toward prospective and current student audiences.

Prior to joining Kent State, Anna spent nearly a decade at Ideastream Public Media, the NPR and PBS affiliate for Northeast Ohio. There, she covered a variety of beats including local government in Akron and Canton, and anchored newscasts, public affairs shows and digital series. In 2019, she was a Carnegie-Knight News21 Fellow at Arizona State’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, where she traveled the country reporting on natural disaster recovery.

Anna is no stranger to Kent State. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from KSU and has taught audio storytelling and podcasting classes as an adjunct in the university’s School of Media and Journalism.

In her free time, Anna enjoys hiking, cooking, tap dancing and spending time with her fiancé and two mischievous black cats.
