As vice president for the Division of University Communications and Marketing, Stephen Ward leads the development and execution of successful core messaging, branding and marketing strategies that advance Kent State’s institutional missions and priorities.
Before arriving at Kent State, he served as vice president for communications and marketing at Hawaii Pacific University. He has had leadership roles in university communications at Grand Valley State University, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His experience also includes five years on Capitol Hill on the staffs of two U.S. representatives from Michigan.
His breadth of experience and impressive accomplishments demonstrate his impact as an innovative, collaborative leader.
