Scholarships can make all the difference in a student's life. They enable promising students to keep going to school and achieve dreams of a degree and a career. Each year between $100,000-$150,000 in scholarships is awarded to Kent State Ashtabula students. The generosity of local families, companies and organizations allow students to earn a university degree who otherwise would not have had the opportunity. During the 2019-20 academic year, nearly 100 Kent State Ashtabula students were awarded scholarship dollars to pursue their educational passions.
The Annual Scholarship Banquet brings together students, donors, faculty, staff, families and guests together in a celebration of success and giving. It is the one night each year where students can say "thank you" to donors for their generosity and for donors to meet the award recipients as well as for the two groups to share experiences, stories and a wonderful evening.
