College of Education, Health and Human Services

The College of Education, Health and Human Services (EHHS) offers 18 undergraduate programs, 24 graduate degrees, and 13 doctoral programs. Graduates go on to serve as leaders in a wide variety of fields, ranging from education, counseling, and health care to hospitality, recreation, and sport.

Office of the Provost

The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 630 program is hosted at Kent State University and designed as an elective program for students interested in learning the disciplines stressed by the United States Air Force. AFROTC prides itself on allowing students to try out the program their freshman and sophomore years without any obligation to join. Students that are up to the Air Force ROTC challenge will receive more specialized training while also finishing their degree.

Army ROTC is a program of leadership and military skills training. It prepares Kent State students for officer responsibilities in the Active Army, Army Reserves, or Army National Guard following graduation

College of Communication & Information

Kent State University's School of Emerging Media and Technology is a cutting-edge interdisciplinary school designed to train tomorrow's digital leaders.

The School of Emerging Media and Technology provides interdisciplinary programs designed to produce technology professionals with the ability to adapt and succeed in a rapidly changing digital world.

 

Students receive a broad foundational knowledge in digital technologies - hardware, software, web programming, management, analysis, and data and the ability to specialize in an area through a guided choice of concentrations, minors and coursework.  This curricular approach enables graduates to communicate and work as highly-functional leaders and team members with technical, business, and design professionals.

The Department of Africana Studies (DAFS) is located in Oscar Ritchie Hall (ORH), an academic building named in honor of one of the first African Americans to hold a tenured position in the state of Ohio’s system of Higher Education.

Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences, the intellectual heart of Kent State University! The undergraduate and graduate programs in the College encompass humanities, social sciences, natural and mathematical sciences. These programs are offered through 18 academic departments and schools. We offer associate’s, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degree programs in a wide range of fields.
