Letter From the Director

Dear Golden Flash Community,

Whether this is your first time visiting DeWeese Health Center or you are a returning patient, I want to welcome you.

During your time here at Kent State, you can visit us for acute or urgent illness and injury treatment, physicals and preventive care, and chronic condition management, and take advantage of our laboratory, pharmacy and radiology department – all on site. This allows students who live on campus or have limited transportation to continue making their health and well-being a priority.

We all know too well that when we don’t feel 100%, nothing else gets the attention it should – academics, relationships, self-care all can suffer. DeWeese is an outpatient health center specializing in the college student’s unique needs. We are one of a small group of college health centers that voluntarily seek accreditation through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). That rigorous standard is the embodiment of quality healthcare.

As a new in-person and on-campus experience evolves after an unimaginable health emergency, I want you to know that you are not alone in this exciting new chapter of your life. DeWeese Health Center is here and ready to be of service!

Be well in all you do and always remember – Flashes take care of Flashes.
