Keep On Learning - Free Microsoft Office

Kent State University, in partnership with Microsoft, offers Microsoft Office for Faculty, Staff and Students for use on their personal computers, tablets and smartphones at no cost through Office 365.

Active full and part-time students who are registered for classes qualify for this offer. Once you've qualified, your access will continue while you're enrolled, and for up to 2 years after graduation or leaving the University.

This offer includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access on up to 5 PCs or Macs and Office apps on other mobile devices including Android, iPad®, and Windows tablets. It also includes 1TB of OneDrive storage with online editing of Office documents.

To get your free version of Office, please login to https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx. with your FlashLine credentials.  Once authenticated, you will be able to download and install Office.

The software is meant for your personally-owned computers. If you’re using a university owned computer, there’s no need to install Office, as it would already be installed.

In addition to the desktop software, you have access to the full functionality of the Office mobile apps. Download Word, Excel and PowerPoint from the app store on your device, sign in with you Kent account in the apps, and that’s it.

If you run into issues downloading Office, please submit a support ticket through https://support.kent.edu.  Choose “Software and Application Support” as the request type, and Office 365 Education as the “Software Application”
