Our Resources
Our mission is to provide the resources, facilities and services needed by Kent State faculty and students to conduct groundbreaking, globally relevant research and scholarship.
We identify funding opportunities, mentor and train researchers and guide investigators in fulfilling grant requirements. We encourage collaboration and student participation in research and we partner with industry. on new technologies and commercialization.
Kent State offers many opportunities for students to participate in research, under the guidance of faculty in research groups where undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows often contribute. Summer research through the National Science Foundation’s REU program is offered at Kent State in subjects such as liquid crystals, chemistry and biochemistry, math and ecology, and at other universities with REU subject-specific groups. Students should check in the fall semester with Kent State academic departments that host REU programs about application deadlines for the following summer or with the
