Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Now Available!

Kent State Ashtabula is proud to announce the addition of a Bachelor’s degree program in Respiratory Care.  Building upon the foundation of an associate degree in respiratory therapy, our Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care is the solution for both students completing an associate degree and working respiratory therapists that wish to expand their career options.  Our accredited completer program is offered in an accelerated format that offers 7-week courses and is completely online.  Applications are now being accepting and students may apply online for admission to Kent State Ashtabula.

Kent State University alumni, students, faculty and staff are invited to give back to the Ashtabula community during Flashes Give Back Week, April 13–18.

On Friday, April 17, volunteers at Kent State Ashtabula will help build raised garden boxes for a new residential gardening program at Homesafe on campus (3300 Lake Road West, Ashtabula). Projects may include cutting, nailing, sanding and painting.

Kent State University at Ashtabula is beginning the spring semester with strong enrollment momentum, signaling continued student confidence in the campus’s academic offerings and the university’s commitment to access, affordability and student success.

Kent State University at Ashtabula honored the Fall 2025graduating class at the campus’s 81st commencement ceremony on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in the gymnasium of Susan J. Stocker Hall.

“Commencement represents an important milestone in every student’s journey,” said Dean and Chief Administrative Officer R. William (Bill) Ayres IV, Ph.D. “It’s a wonderful occasion and an inspiring evening to gather as a campus community to celebrate their achievements and accomplishments, as well as the bright futures they’re stepping into.”
