Dr. Amanda Dolan Receives Outstanding American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) Strategic Enrollment Management Research Award

Kent State University at Ashtabula Director of Enrollment Management and Student Services Amanda Avery Dolan, Ph.D., was recently selected as an Outstanding American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) Strategic Enrollment Management Research Award recipient by the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center.

Dolan, a Colebrook resident and member of the Grand Valley Local School Board, was presented the award by Dr. Doug Shapiro, Executive Research Director at National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, at the annual AACRAO SEM Conference in Dallas, Tex., last month.

“I’m very honored to be recognized by my peers in enrollment management,” Dolan said. “It was a thrill to present this research at the national conference. The National Clearinghouse does important research in higher education throughout the country and it means so much to receive this prestigious award from such a well-respected organization.”

Dolan’s award was in recognition of her work on her research looking at the past 40 years of college student persistence and how resilient the theoretical models of persistence and retention are over time, which was a topic she presented on at the conference.
