The Anthropology Department is hosting a “Science in Japan” seminar on Wednesday, November 29th, from 4 to 5:30pm at the DI Hub, Rm 219. The guest speakers are officers from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) – a Japanese government agency similar to the U.S. National Science Foundation. Full-time Kent State employees can participate in an interest-free payroll deduction program to buy Apple Computers and Accessories from the Flash Technology Center in the University Bookstore. A minimum 10% down payment is required, followed by 12 or 24 monthly payments depending on the total sale. The employee's salary verification from Payroll determines eligibility and deductions start once Payroll confirms the purchase agreement. Warm-Up Station in Williamson Hall

From now through Dec. 15, Kent State University is collecting clean, gently used or new items of warm clothing for all ages, including coats, hats, gloves, scarves and sweaters, as part of its Winter Coat and Clothing Drive.  Melanie Knowles, manager of sustainability for Kent State, said the annual coat and clothing drive is sponsored by numerous university departments to help students and serve the Kent community, too. Winter Coat and Clothing Drive

From Nov. 13 through Dec. 15, Kent State will be collecting clean, gently used or new items for all ages including warm clothing, hats, gloves, scarves and sweaters.
