Plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early for your skater’s first day of Learn to Skate. This will provide you with enough time to check-in, pick up their nametag, put on skates, and familiarize yourself with the building.

Jumpstart Classes are offered as small group sessions (2-4 skaters), designed to serve two key purposes:
Jumpstart Class Guidelines
Explore ways generative AI can support student collaboration—like team skill identification and helping brainstorm team reflection
Use and adapt a simple student-facing checklist to guide reflection on when, why, and how they use AI—helping them develop responsible habits and metacognitive skills.
Help students move beyond passive use of AI tools by engaging them in reflection, comparison, and critique—strengthening their analytical thinking and decision-making.
