The Performing Arts Center at Kent State University – Tuscarawas announces three new shows coming to New Philadelphia. The national Broadway tour of Chicago makes a stop on Saturday, January 24th. The UK’s most exciting theatrical vocal group, The Barricade Boys, visit on Thursday, February 5th and live from the “best pub in the world”, the British musical The Choir of Man arrives Sunday, February 22nd. Arena Ice

Arena Ice sessions are designed for skaters actively participating in group or private lessons and those working to develop and refine advanced skating skills. These sessions provide valuable ice time for skaters to practice skills and programs in a focused environment.

Skaters may receive instruction from an approved coach during Arena Ice sessions at an additional cost. Coaches must obtain prior approval from the KSU Ice Arena Program Coordinator before coaching on the ice.

What if I don’t have my own skates?

Skate rental is included with your admission fee. Skates are available at the Skate Rental Counter. Sizes available: Youth 5 – 13, Junior 1 – Adult 14. 

What size skate do I ask for at the Skate Rental Counter?

Let the Ice Arena staff know your shoe size, and they will find you the correct skate size. Rental skates are designed to fit everyone. Shoe size does not necessarily match skate size.

Educators from Brazil took part in the Design Innovation Change Agent Workshop.

Spring Opera 2025

  Audiences experienced fairies and fantasy in Kent State Opera Theatre's Spring production. The performance featured a variety of scenes with natural and supernatural themes from operas by Mozart, Offenbach, Sondheim, Sullivan, Todd and Verdi.  Each academic year, the Kent State Opera Theatre presents scene programs and fully staged productions with the Kent State University Orchestra.
