Named in honor of the late Jonathan King, co-founder, and first president of the Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC), this award is given to one student per ARCC member college, school, institute, or unit. Selection of recipients is at the discretion of the individual member institutions, but is based upon criteria that acknowledge innovation, integrity, and scholarship in architectural and/or environmental design research. Beginning in Fall 2023, SPCS is offering a new interdisciplinary minor in Environment, Peace & Justice.
Starting in Fall 2019, the course prefixes changed from CACM to PACS. Some of the course names changed to reference Peace and Conflict Studies rather than Applied Conflict Management. For students who took our classes or have catalog years prior to Fall 2019, a chart is available (see link below) that shows the older CACM course numbers and the new PACS numbers and names.
