Introduction to Engineering Hovercrafts

On May 3rd, students in Dr. Kelsen LaBerge’s Introduction to Engineering course demonstrated their Hovercraft projects. This project serves as a class capstone, where the 79  students in the course were divided into 13 teams that must successfully design, build, and fly a hovercraft that adheres to a specified budget.  Students work with their teams to come up with a preliminary design before giving a presentation of their work. On Tuesday, May 2nd, Manufacturing Works hosted Reaching New Heights in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM): Opportunities in Autonomous Vehicles in partnership with the College of Aeronautics and Engineering and the Northeast Ohio Flight Information Exchange. Bahrain Teachers College

This Spring Semester, faculty from Kent State University consulted with school administrators at Bahrain Teachers College to build relationships that will enhance and advance education for students at BTC. EHHS' School of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Studies undertook a project to provide BTC with Consulting Services on Assessment Moderation to Support Development toward certification through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
