Kent State Celebrates Its Newest Graduates With Spring Commencement Ceremonies

A new Kent State graduate crosses the stage and proudly holds her diploma during the advanced degree ceremony.

The Kent State University alumni family will grow by about 5,500 new graduates as the university holds its spring commencement ceremonies. The accomplishments of the Spring Class of 2023 will be recognized with in-person, outdoor commencement ceremonies on May 11-13 and May 19. All of the commencement ceremonies will be livestreamed at www.kent.edu/commencement. In total, 5,491 degrees will be conferred this spring, consisting of 1,432 associate degrees, 3,011 bachelor’s degrees, 851 master’s degrees, 178 doctoral degrees and 19 educational specialist degrees. Kent State student Sophia Lucente, '24, has dreamed of becoming an international photojournalist since starting college.
