The Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness and its partners, including Kent State University’s Department of Public Safety, continue to reinforce that Severe Weather Awareness Week is an opportunity to increase understanding of Ohio’s severe weather threats and most importantly, to practice tornado safety plans and drills. Capers will share his inspiration with Kent State University at Trumbull's graduating class at this year's spring commencement. Capers, a Warren High School graduate and Kent State Alumnus, will deliver the commencement speech during the May 13 ceremony at Packard Music Hall.
