Bethany Westphal is a very busy person.   Like most seniors, Ms. Westphal spends her time doing school work and preparing for graduation in May. At its May 9 meeting, the Kent State University Board of Trustees was unanimous in passing a resolution of appreciation that recognizes Kent State President Beverly J. Warren’s five years of extraordinary contributions, specifically implementing a “students first” priority and mindset, leading to a laser-focus on helping students find their purpose and reach the finish line of a college degree. Aeronautics Center under construction

FedEx Corp. has pledged $5 million, in addition to $1.5 million already given, in support of an aeronautics academic center that will be located at the Kent State University Airport. The new 17,800-square-foot building will be named the FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center. Nathaniel Bailey has been interested in photography for as long as he can remember.   “I first started taking photos on family backpacking trips,” said Mr. Bailey, senior journalism major with a focus in photojournalism. “I love the outdoors, so that was my passion.”   After years of study and practice, Mr. Bailey’s passion has paid off.
