In order to demonstrate their aviation prowess, Kent State University’s (KSU) Precision Flight Team will compete in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) 2019 SAFECON Competition May 13-May 18. Campus Community, We were contacted by the Ashtabula City Police Department shortly after 8 a.m. about reports of gunfire that occurred in the area of Westshore Drive, east of campus. Police requested area schools be place into secure mode, and we immediately placed the campus on lockdown via the campus emergency messaging system and Flash ALERTS notifications. Flash’s Food Pantry officially opened in April, serving as a resource for students on the Kent State University at East Liverpool campus who may need an occasional boost with putting food on their tables. Located on the basement floor of Purinton Hall, directly across the hall from the elevator, Flash’s Food Pantry is stocked with non-perishable food items, as well as personal hygiene products.
