Kent State University student Emelia Sherin directs a play that places the opioid crisis on the forefront.

Kent State public relations major Emelia Sherin made national headlines in 2017-2018 when she debuted her original play, (In)Dependent, which highlights the tragedies of the heroin epidemic in Northeast Ohio. The play will be performed on Kent State’s campus for one night only, March 21 at 7 p.m., in the Kiva Auditorium. Admission is free. Donations raised from the event with go to Oriana House Inc.
