Kent, OH – The Cleveland Critics Circle recently honored Porthouse Theatre, Kent State University’s outdoor, summer theatre on the grounds of Blossom Music Center, with several awards for accomplishments during the 2014 season. The Cleveland Critics Circle Awards recognize outstanding Cleveland area productions, performers, directors and designers who contribute to the professional theatre scene.

Kent State University associate professor S.Q. Campbell won the top prize for Best Costume Design for “My Fair Lady,” produced June 12-28, 2014.

Cuyahoga Falls, OH - Porthouse Theatre, Kent State University’s outdoor, summer theatre located on the grounds of Blossom Music Center, will open its 46th season with "My Fair Lady" on June 13, 2014. Performances run through June 28. A preview performance will take place on June 12.

Porthouse Theatre, Kent State University's outdoor, summer theater on the grounds of Blossom Music Center, continues its 2013 season with "Working." The show will run July 4-20.

"Working" is based on the book by Studs Terkel and was adapted for stage by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso. Jim Weaver directs and choreographs this production, with musical direction by Adam Howard, costume design by Susan Williams and set design by Nolan O'Dell.
