Photos that illustrate a sense of place and support the Kent State University Guide to Marketing are necessary throughout the website.

The following resources are provided to assist all Kent State web editors in their efforts to include compelling images on the website they maintain.

Kent State Photo Archive

The Kent State University photography gallery contains compelling images that document campus life and the beauty of the Kent State University campuses. Faculty and staff headshots are also available for use in profile pages. The images are free for use when promoting programs associated with Kent State University. They can be used in print, on the web, etc.  In order to download photos you will need to create an account on Photoshelter and request it be activated by Bob Christy, rchristy@kent.edu.

Information Graphic Library

Information Graphics are used throughout Kent State websites to call out points of pride and facts about the university or specific university programs. Graphics are hyperlinked to areas of the website with more information about that fact.

Drupal Image & Information Graphic Specifications

Whether adding a feature image, profile headshot or information graphics to the Kent State website, knowing the correct Guide to Web Standards image specifications  is a must.

Images for the Web Workshop

The Web Images Workshop reviews best practices for using images on the Kent State website. The workshop is a hands-on approach to resizing, cropping and saving images for the web using Pixlr (online freeware) and/or PhotoShop.
