
Brendan Ho
Biography
Brendan Ho is the founder of hoX a speculative design firm working between video games, cinema, and architecture. He has received his BArch from Texas Tech and his MArch from SCI-Arc. Where he won a Merit Graduate Thesis award for his thesis Fluffy, he was also awarded the Autodesk Visualization award at the Bio Design Competition for the group project Muta. His work with the Plethora Project, directed by Jose Sanchez, won 3rd place at the Tallinn Biennial in 2019. Work which has been featured on Fast Break Company, as well as in books such as Celebrating the Marvellous: Surrealism in Architecture, and Discrete: Reappraising the Digital in Architecture. Since graduating he has worked at HKS, Corgan, HDA-x, Plethora Project, The World Building Institute led by Alex McDowell, with body architect Lucy McRae, and as faculty at Sci-Arc. Where he ran graduate design studios with Lucy McRae, Jakob + Macfarlane Architects and Tom Wiscombe.
