ARCC Research Award Medal | King Student Medal for Excellence
Architectural + Environmental Design Research
Named in honor of the late Jonathan King, co-founder and first
president of the Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC),
this award will be given to one student per ARCC member school.
Selection of school recipients is at the discretion of the individual
institutions, but will be based upon criteria that acknowledge
innovation, integrity, and scholarship in architectural and/or
environmental design research. CAED has been awarding this medal
annually to graduate and undergraduate students based on a rigorous
review by a committee from the faculty and outside reviewers since

Graduate Research Symposium Awards
Recognition of excellence for graduate research presented at the
annual Kent State University Graduate Research Symposium. Graduate
research projects from the College of Architecture and Environmental
Designs are selected by a panel of judges from CAED based on the
project's depth of inquiry, scientific method, innovation and
contribution to the field.
