
Hans P. Walter, AIA, ACHA
Biography
Hans has been a design leader on several complex, highly technical projects for nationally recognized healthcare institutions including the Cleveland Clinic, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Allegheny Health Network, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and the Mount Saini Health System. These clients have trusted Hans to understand the needs of their staff and the patients they ultimately serve. He is committed to designing environments that balance the technical demands of healing with the psychological needs of caring. Nationally, Hans serves as a co-director on the Design Awards Committee for the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health. He contributes to the Career Path Committee with the American College of Healthcare Architects. Locally, Hans participates on the Board of the Cleveland AIA as a co-director for programming. He has been the chairman of the Shaker Heights Architectural Board of Review and has volunteered with the ACE Mentorship program which facilitates high school student’s entry into the Architecture, Construction and Engineering industries.
