Honors Program for Incoming Students

Incoming Students

• 3.5 cumulative high school GPA
• A holistic evaluation that considers a combination of factors such as the high school GPA, a student’s decision to take rigorous coursework, application essay, extracurricular activities, leadership experiences, and other achievements.

Applying to the Honors Program

• Incoming students who meet the criteria above will receive an email invitation to apply to the Honors Program upon acceptance to Kent State Trumbull and should complete the application before their DKSTAR date.
  • To apply, log in to your Admissions Portal and click the Honors application link.
  • Complete the brief application and essay and submit. A decision will be sent to you via email.
  • Deadline to apply for spring students is Dec. 19. Deadline to apply for fall students is July 31.
