Fitness Center Rules

GENERAL USE 

  • You may not take photos or videos of other members without their consent. 

  • Do not steal any equipment, club items or emergency items within the facility. The Fitness Center is monitored 24 hours a day by security cameras, and any theft will be reported to the police. 

  • Do not use offensive language or act aggressively toward other members while training or while in the facility. 

  • All doors and rollup (garage) door shall remain secured at all times. 

ACCESS POLICY 

  • Please review open hours for the Fitness Center.  

  • You will be issued a Trumbull Fitness Center FOB Key/Access Pass when you join. You will not be permitted to access the facility unless you have your access pass with you. 

  • You may only enter the Fitness Center if you have current student, faculty, or staff status. 

  • Under no circumstances may you allow another person into the Fitness Center using your access credentials.  

BEHAVIOR IN THE FITNESS CENTER 

  • Suitable exercise attire must be worn at all times while exercising in the facility, and closed-toe athletic shoes are required. You may not train without a shirt. 

  • Do not wear shoes on the mats. 

  • Please return all equipment and weights to their designated locations after use.  

  • Handle weights and equipment with care and return them after use. Do not drop or throw weights. 

  • Please wipe down equipment after use with the cleaning supplies provided. 

USE OF EQUIPMENT 

  • Please use equipment only for its intended purpose and follow all provided instructions. 

  • Inspect equipment before use. Do not use any equipment that appears damaged, inoperable, or missing components. Please alert Security at 330-675-8832 if there is an issue. 

  • When using strength equipment, ensure the weight pin is fully inserted. Never pin the weight stack in an elevated position. Inspect all cables, straps and connections before use. 

  • Do not use dumbbells or any other equipment to incrementally increase resistance on strength machines unless specifically designed and approved by the manufacturer. 

  • Ensure that the treadmill belt has come to a complete stop before stepping on or off. 

  • No bags, food or beverages are permitted on the training floor, except water bottles and sports drinks.
