Invisible Writing

Often our obsession with spelling words correctly, writing perfect sentences, using commas in the right places, and so on can get in the way of actually getting our ideas down on the page. One way to overcome this is to type with the computer screen off. With no visual indicators if you are spelling things correctly or other concerns you might when writing, you may find yourself more focused on ideas than grammar and punctuation.

Principle

Turn your monitor off and type. Avoid the temptation to turn the monitor on to check things out. Give yourself a set time to write this way.
