The Kent Campus resides in Portage County and must adhere to the state's guidelines for counties. Campuses may adjust operations when the state of Ohio COVID Risk Level status for their county is changed, including the addition of restrictions when the county risk level is raised, or the return to previous operations when the county risk level is lowered.

Participants residing in University housing must:

  • Provide proof of being fully vaccinated (2 weeks have passed since your last dose). You will be exempt from further testing. Or
  • Provide proof of a positive COVID-19 test taken with 90 days. You will be exempt from further testing. Or
  • Submit proof of a negative test 3-5 days before arriving on campus
    • Participants in the General Music and Orff-Schulwerk programs, who submit proof of a negative test 3-5 days before arrival, will be required to test again mid-way through the program.
      • The University can provide an At-Home kit to use in your room. Or
      • You can schedule testing with DeWeese Health Center.
